City High Alumni Association

As we navigate through life's journey, many of us remember fondly the friends and experiences we had at City High. 

The School the Leads remains a vital part of preparing Iowa City youth for the rest of their lives.  Whether you were involved in athletics, music, debate, student government, or were too shy to raise your hand, now you can give back to the institution.

The Alumni Association uses funds raised to support the current students at City High by sponsoring activites and physical plant improvements at the school.  Since 1997, the City High Alumni Association has raised and contributed funding to numerous projects on the City High campus including the Tower Restoration Project, the Campus Landscaping project, and annual Scolarship Funds.  We also fund half of the costs of the annual Homcoming parade -- which runs from Mercer Park Aquatic Center to Frank Bates Field -- and have matched dollar for dollar contributions to the Stand up for City High sports complex campaign.

Since 1997 we have supported graduating seniors who have demonstrated outstanding volunteer work by awarding $1000 scholarships to graduates who are going on to attend a degree granting institution.

Your dues and tax-deductible contributions to the Alumni Association help support the variety of services we provide to City High and the surrounding Iowa City community.  Funds are used only by the Alumni Association for projects identified by and voted on by the association's board members.
